Guerrilla Wearables: Speculative Infrastructures for Decentralized Resistance
This hybrid project combines a talk and a speculative workshop exploring Guerrilla Wearables—open-source communication devices embedded in fashion accessories and designed for off-grid messaging using LoRa technology. Developed in response to internet shutdowns, censorship, and surveillance, these wearables enable peer-to-peer communication without centralized infrastructure. The talk introduces the project’s political and technical framework, while the workshop invites participants to imagine future infrastructures of resistance and test prototypes in a city walk. Merging tactical fashion, tech-activism, and speculative fiction, Guerrilla Wearables reclaims the body as a site of networked autonomy and envisions alternative, embodied forms of communication.
