868labs is a Berlin-based initiative creating tactical tools for off-grid communication. Founded by new media artist Helena Nikonole, creative technologist Katerina Kataeva, and anonymous collaborators, the collective's first prototype — 868 Wearables — offers open-source, artist-designed devices for encrypted, long-range messaging. We build systems that opt out of surveillance infrastructure without opting out of connection.
