Zaiba Jabbar
Zaiba Jabbar is a curator, award-winning director, researcher, and educator with a focus on expanded moving image and digital media. She is the founder of HERVISIONS, a femme-focused curatorial agency and platform based in London, and a PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art. Her practice explores the intersection of art, technology, and society, investigating how artists on the margins use emerging technologies to reimagine storytelling, identity, and representation beyond traditional formats.
She has collaborated with major institutions across London and internationally, including Tate Modern, The Photographers' Gallery, William Morris Gallery, and Google Arts & Culture, as well as independent galleries and artist-led spaces. She served as Curator in Residence at LUX in 2018 and was a Trustee of Abandon Normal Devices from 2019 to 2025. In addition, she is a lecturer at London College of Communication on the MA Graphic Media Design course and Fine Art: Computational Arts at Camberwell College of Arts, and mentors artists through various programmes and organisations.
Since founding HERVISIONS in 2015, she has supported new commissions, exhibitions, and events that push the boundaries of digital and immersive art. Central to her practice is an interest in the democratisation of art and the new accessibility of how we experience artistic work. Her vision emphasises accessibility, experimental practices, and alternative narratives in digital culture.
