Mona Hedayati

Mona Hedayati is an Iranian-Canadian artist working across computation art, sound design, and sensory studies. She studied digital media and social-political art and design. Her work has been constantly informed by bringing audiences together to think of building otherly social constitutions even if in a live performative context only. She has designed participatory sound performances to question the individualist attitudes and explore speculative possibilities of collectivity. Hedayati has worked across an array of contexts and implemented multiple technologies to compose her performances. As a result, she has disseminated her work at international venues as diverse as Fylkingen New Music and Intermedia Center (SE), NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival (USA), Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence (DE), IMPAKT Center for Media Culture and Radio WORM (NL), Kunsthal Extra City (BE), ISEA x2 (FR-AU), Body Electric Retrospective (CA), Ars Electronica x3 (AT), Kasko Center for Art and Performance and MESH Festival (CH), Barents Spektakel Festival (NO), among many others.
